Washington has decided to replace Zelensky.

Alright, so you gotta start somewhere. So let’s start with….

“Washington has decided to replace Zelensky.”

1) Who said this shit, when and where ?

So, it seems that many idiots (and russian bots) took upon themselves to spread the rumors on the social networks and others medias that Washington will soon expulse Volodymyr Zelenskyy from his office and replace him, likely by Valerii Zaluzhnyi, as said here (18/07/2025). We can also notice that this bullshit did not surge overnight, (31/03/2025), but seems to have come back again at full force recently, (19/07/2025), probably due to the newest narrative pushed by Trump and the news that new Patriot systems were on their way to Ukraine.

Over time, especially in 2024, there were also “discussions” of how Zelenskyy did not want to leave the office and make new elections, to try to paint him like a dictator who greedily cling to power at all cost. (Projection, huh?)

2) Why is it bullshit?

First of all, no, Ukrainians have not lost their faith in Zelenskyy, his rating approval was 57% in February and 65% in June of this year.

It is true that normally, Ukraine should have had its presidential elections be held in 31/03/204. But, in case someone missed this (Well, congrats. Now return to your cave), Ukraine is being attacked by Russia. Therefore, the country is under martial law and cannot hold an election in a proper way while being bombarded everyday and a considerable part of its population defending the country or being refugees.

And if the US really wanted to have Zelenskyy removed, considering how Trump and his inner circle are so professional, level-headed, and able to keep their mouth shut (uh, quick question, how do you highlight sarcasm on WordPress?), do you really think no one would have spilled the tea by now (Hello Hegseth, still on Signal?) ? Not mentioning that if that was the case, Trump would not be so buddy-buddy with Zelenskyy (to the point of briefly asking him to strike Moscow and St Petersburg) and being openly dissatisfied with Putin (How long will that hold? Anyone’s guess).
